Note: As this week has gone on, the list of cancelled events across the region has grown enormously. We’ll continue adding events, especially events previously mentioned in our coverage, but we have given up trying to make it exhaustive. If you do plan to venture out over the next week or two, be sure to check with organizers to confirm your event is happening.Â

The Woodstock School of Art offices, studios, and gallery will be closed from Sunday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 31.

Richard Heppner’s talk on his new book, Woodstock’s Infamous Murder Trial, scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at Barnes & Noble in Kingston, has been canceled.
Talk: The Delaware in the American Revolution at the Time and the Valleys Museum in Grahamsville (March 22)
Ashokan Maple Fest 2020 has been cancelled. Instead, Ashokan will host a “Maple Fest LIVE” virtual event on The Ashokan Center Facebook page at noon on March 22, which was the originally scheduled date.

Longer term cancellations, institutional closures, etc.
Mohonk Mountain House will temporarily close beginning Tuesday March 17. The resort anticipates reopening for guest arrivals Wednesday April 1. During the temporary closure, all normally scheduled employees will be paid.
Many nursing homes are suspending visitation until further notice, as recommended by the State Health Department, including Woodland Pond in New Paltz and Golden Hill in Kingston. More info here.

All schools in Ulster, Orange and Dutchess counties closed for two weeks, effective March 16.
SUNY spring sports season. “In light of the NCAA’s decision to cancel the winter and spring sports championships, the State University of New York Athletic Conference has cancelled its spring sports season.”
Woodstock Library: Closed March 16-31.
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (March 16-29)
Town of Shandaken has canceled Planning and Zoning Board meetings for the remainder of March.
Saugerties Library: Closing Tuesday, March 17 for two weeks.
Elting Library: All events and programming either postponed or cancelled through April 15.
Gardiner Library: Closed March 16-30.
Lace Mill in Kingston: All public events cancelled until further notice. These include gallery openings, musical performances, poetry readings and health clinics.
Village of New Paltz offices are closed to the public. Payments can be placed in lockbox outside clerk’s office or online. Anyone needing a handicap hang tag or other assistance call 845-255-0130.
Town of Woodstock Town Offices will be closed to the public. Updates will be posted to the town Facebook page. Call the supervisor’s office with any questions, (845) 679-2113 x17.
Arts Mid-Hudson: Offices and gallery closed, no March programming.
All visits to the Ulster County Jail were suspended for 30 days as of Monday, March 9.
Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is delaying its usual April opening to May.
Woodstock Artists Association & Museum (WAAM) will be closed to the public through the month of March.
Woodstock School of Art will be closed March 16-31.
Unison Arts Center events are cancelled for the next two weeks.
Stone Ridge Library will be closed from March 12-31.
Club Helsinki Hudson (bar, restaurant and club) will be closed until the health situation has stabilized.
Upstate Films in Rhinebeck and Woodstock will be closed until the the indefinite future.
All National Archives research rooms nationwide, including those at the FDR Presidential Library in Hyde Park, will be closed to the public until further notice.
The Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center (Mid-Hudson Civic Center), McCann Ice Arena and Ice Time Sports Complex will be closed until further notice. The closure will be reevaluated on a week by week basis.
Hudson River Maritime Museum is temporarily closed to the public.
Womenswork.Art and Clinton Street Studio in Poughkeepsie will be closed through the end of April.
Bardavon/UPAC: All events for 30 days, as of March 13.
Mount St. Mary campus closed through March 30.
SUNY New Paltz is extending spring break by one week and offering all classes online for the remainder of the semester. More info here.
The Hudson Valley Maritime Museum is closed to the public.
The Highland Public Library including the Clintondale Branch will be closed to the public starting March 17, 2020. The situation will be reevaluated on April 1, 2020. Staff will be in the library to answer questions and help patrons navigate our online resources. https://highlandlibrary.org/
