The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for the Hudson Valley for Wednesday, Feb. 7, forecasting 4-8 inches of sleet and snow. The precipitation will last from Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night. Expect difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute, with significant reductions in visibility possible.
According to local forecaster Hudson Valley Weather, the storm will begin with snow between 7-10 a.m., moving from west to east, transitioning to sleet and freezing rain south of I-84 between noon and 2 p.m. and north of I-84 between 2 and 4 p.m. Heavier accumulations are expected in higher altitudes (6-12″) and lighter accumulations are expected south of I-84 and to the east of the Hudson (1-5″).
