Chilling at Winterfest 2024 is one of the fastest-growing winter pastimes in Ulster County. Starting this Friday at 4pm, the festival kicks off with a frosty yet cozy experience, featuring the annual Ice Car and the debut of the Snowflake Bar. The evening heats up with DJ Eddie Parker and extends into a weekend of unique festivities.
Friday’s highlights include the introduction of Hudson Valley Hatchet and ice skating sessions led by Kingston’s own Sophie Karabatsos, a Cornell University ice hockey champion. Not just about fun, the event has a heart too, with guest bartenders at the “Bartending for a Cause” segment, donating tips to various nonprofits from 5pm onwards. Test your skills in the Flip Cup Marathon and Beer Pong Tournament, where teams can contribute to their favorite charities.
Saturday turns up the cool factor, starting at noon. Apart from the Ice and Snowflake Bars reopening, the day is packed with activities like the Kids Winter Carnival, Hatchet Throwing, and an Adoption Day by Ulster SPCA.
