The Hutton Brickyards announced today that the remaining three Hutton Fare events scheduled for this year have been canceled.

“While we felt successful in bringing people to the space to enjoy the beautiful view of the Hudson River and all of the wonderful elements of the event, the attendance and vendor participation was lower than anticipated. As a result, the event was not financially viable over the long term,” said Frank Woodworth, director of business development for Hutton Brickyards. “We are thankful to everyone who participated in and attended our first Hutton Fare and had the opportunity to experience Hutton Brickyards.”

The first event was held last weekend, July 21-22. It featured food and craft vendors, games, beer and live music, and was scheduled to return August 18-19, September 15-16 and October 20-21.

The site is a former brickyard along the Hudson, just north of Kingston Point. It previously hosted a summer food & flea market, Smorgasburg Upstate, in 2016 and 2017, and two Bob Dylan concerts last summer.

Still on the calendar for this year: The return of “Field and Supply,” a high-end craft fair curated by New York City designer Brad Ford on Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 6-8.
