A 92-year-old man was struck and killed today by an Amtrak train.
A state police investigation revealed that An V. Tran, 92, of Poughkeepsie, was struck and killed by a southbound Amtrak train while walking on the tracks between the Rhinecliff and Staatsburg stations at approximately 9:17 a.m.
Amtrak Police, Village of Rhinebeck Police, MTA Police, NYS Department of Transportation, Hillside Fire Department and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office were also on scene.
