(Saugerties Police Department)

This morning at 9:05 a.m., Saugerties Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles on State Route 212 in the area of the Lezette Bus Co.

Police established that a 2015 Chevrolet Pick-up, operated by 62-year-old William A. Shaw of Saugerties was travelling westbound on Route 212 when it crossed over the double yellow line into the eastbound lane and collided with a 2003 S-10 pick-up truck operated by 62-year-old Harry Borrero of Saugerties.

Subsequent to the first collision, Shaw’s vehicle then veered head-on into another vehicle, a 2016 Ford Edge operated by 34-year-old Jessica Stanley of Catskill.

Shaw and Stanley were injured as a result of the collision and were treated at the scene by paramedics from Diaz Ambulance and Mobile Life Support Ambulance. Both Shaw and Stanley were transported from the scene to area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of the crash Route 212 was closed from Fishcreek Road to Churchland Road for approximately one hour as police conducted their investigation.

Saugerties Police were assisted at scene by Centerville Fire Department, Diaz ambulance, Mobile Life Ambulance, State Police, and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. Saugerties Police Investigation into the crash is continuing and chargers are pending.
