painting-SQEsopus Creek Conservancy (ECC) will hold its annual “100 Works for $100” fundraising gala on Saturday, Nov. 14. Admission is $10. Doors open at 6 p.m. (Nobody will be admitted in advance.) One hundred works of art expressing the beauty and fragility of the Esopus Creek will be sold at the event for $100 each. Works are displayed anonymously. All proceeds will support the projects of the Esopus Creek Conservancy.

The event will include live music by Abby Newton, Lyn Hardy and Selma Kaplan. Cellist Abby Newton has toured the U.S. and Europe on her own as well as with Scots legends Jean Redpath and Alistair Fraser. She has performed with Lyn Hardy since the 1970s. Hardy is a luthier, singer/songwriter and guitarist who, along with Selma Kaplan, recorded and toured with the all-female band, Rude Girls. More information is available at ArtEsopus.com.
