Ulster County’s second two-alarm fire of the past week broke out Monday, July 28 at a house located at 296 Cherrytown Road in Accord.
The Accord Fire Department responded swiftly to the call, noting the home was unoccupied at the time.
The fire caused an unspecified amount of damage to the structure, and firefighters remained on scene from approximately 3pm to 6pm extinguishing and investigating the blaze.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
Firefighters from Stone Ridge, Stone Ridge, Kerhonkson, Napanoch, Olive, and High Falls responded, along with Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid.
