A 47-year-old man was arrested early Sunday in Kingston following an incident near the Sunoco gas station on Broadway, according to city police.
Authorities reported that Karlyle Lattimer Wheeler was taken into custody at approximately 12:47am on April 6 at the Sunoco located at 675 Broadway.
Police allege that Wheeler pursued a person over several blocks to Sunoco and engaged in behavior that caused the individual to fear potential physical harm. During the incident, Wheeler is accused of brandishing a knife in a threatening manner.
Wheeler faces felony charges of stalking involving the display of a weapon and criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of weapon possession.
After his arrest, Wheeler was held for arraignment and later released with appearance tickets for Kingston City Court.
