Incidents of alleged arson and attempted arson in mid-November of 2024 were linked by Kingston law enforcement to New Windsor resident Kevin Patrick Spellman.
The 39-year-old was arrested and charged with felonies for crimes Kingston police say occurred on St. James Street and Liberty Street, both on the same day — Nov. 14, 2024.
Law enforcement issued a warrant for Spellman’s arrest in December of 2024. On Thursday, he made an appearance in court, only to be returned to Orange County Jail where he’s being held for an unrelated felony charge of larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.
