The Kingston City School District (KCSD), in partnership with the City of Kingston, will hold a special ceremony to commemorate the return of its student athletes to Dietz Stadium following a comprehensive $21.5 million upgrade. This celebration will take place on Thursday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m., preceding the Kingston Tigers’ home football game against Valley Central at 7 p.m. The event marks the culmination of a 14-month project that has transformed Dietz Stadium into a state-of-the-art facility ready for the Tigers to play.
Dr. Paul J. Padalino, superintendent of Kingston City School District, expressed his enthusiasm. “We are thrilled to welcome our community back to Dietz Stadium. This renovated facility will serve as a cornerstone for both our school athletics and community events for years to come.”
The extensive renovation, which temporarily displaced athletic teams for the 2023-2024 school year, includes significant improvements. Among these are a new turf field, advanced track surfacing, cutting-edge LED stadium lighting and a modern scoreboard with large-screen broadcasting capabilities.
The reopening ceremony will feature representatives from the KCSD, City of Kingston and Kingston High School student body, celebrating the collaborative effort that made this project possible.
Community members are cordially invited to attend the reopening ceremony.
