The Woodstock Police Reform Reinvention Collaborative wants your input.
The group, assembled by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s executive order, is working to enable the community to participate in reimagining the role of law enforcement.
“The millions of people who gathered in protest, even in the midst of a public health crisis, made that clear. The situation is unsustainable for all and we as a community have the opportunity to work together to respond to and extend beyond Governor Cuomo’s mandate,” the Collaborative said in a statement about the survey. “Your perspectives and participation are key to the effectiveness of this collaboration.”
Woodstock residents can complete the survey online at https://tinyurl.com/WoodstockPoliceReform. Paper versions are available at the Police Department, 76 Tinker Street; the Town Clerk’s office, 45 Comeau Drive; or Family of Woodstock, 16 Rock City Road; by calling or texting (845) 679-2485 to schedule pickup.
The deadline for completion is November 14.
