Joan Yeaple, age 90, of Fort Collins, CO, previously of New Paltz, NY died Saturday, July 14th in Fort Collins, CO. She was born on February 22, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of Lindley Joseph and Mary Agnes (Tierney) Murray. She married William Asa Yeaple on November 21, 1948. Joan attended the State University of New York at New Paltz, and later received her nursing license at Kingston City Hospital in Kingston, NY. She was devoted to her nursing career. After many years of service at Kingston City Hospital, she joined the staff at Eden Park Senior Nursing Facility in Poughkeepsie, NY from where she retired in 1996. Shortly afterward she moved from New Paltz to Fort Collins, CO to be with family who were graced by her love, wisdom, and humor. She was predeceased by her son William N. Yeaple, her husband William A. Yeaple, her parents, and her brothers Joseph L. and Robert Murray. Joan is survived by her children, Linda Yeaple (Fort Collins), Mike Yeaple (Greeley, CO), Leslie Yeaple (Fort Collins), Anne Griffith (Corvallis, OR), Christine Yeaple (John Mason) (Fort Collins), Lisa Lawson (Chris) (Fort Collins), and her grandchildren Amity Dipple (Gardiner, NY), Jackie Balouch (Atlanta, GA), Adam Yeaple (Atlanta, GA), Marlee Griffith (Corvallis), Jacob Griffith (Corvallis), Brent Mason (Thornton, CO), Dean Lawson (Fort Collins), Maria Lawson (Fort Collins), and Kayla Lawson (Fort Collins). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and her three great-grandchildren Tanner Dipple, Hailey Dipple, and Quinn Balouch. A Celebration of Life took place on Sunday, July 22 in Fort Collins, CO.
