Karen Bryce Bella of Woodstock NY beloved daughter of Rose D. Bella and the late Robert J. Bella transitioned into a spirit of true enlightenment on October 22, 2022 finding everlasting peace surrounded by her children.
She spent much of her time loving the beauty of the world, holding it with complete compassion, an activist for the suffering of all living things. Karen was a modern ballet dancer, artist, lover of all music, both a teacher and a student of Buddhism, and a constant giver of wisdom. Karen was a surveyor of a life less traveled. She could connect with life on a spiritual level and was able to see and feel the spirits of life. She didn’t need the tangible things that most people need. She was more than kind, more than selfless, she loved with her entire being.
In Buddhism it is believed that
Dukkha: Life is painful and causes suffering
Anitya: Life is in constant flux
Anatma: The self is always changing
How we can use it in our everyday life: Instead of focusing on “finding ourselves,” we ought to focus on creating the self we wish to be at every moment.
In addition to her children Jennifer Joy Bella (Tom Comerford) and Sebastian Bella-Shepherd (Samantha), Karen is survived by her mother Rose, her grandchildren Dylan Thomas Comerford , Lilyrose Comerford and Meadow Lark Madera, her sisters Allyson Bella-Dodds (John) and Leslie J Bella, her brother-in-law Frank Metro and her nieces and nephew Justin Dodds, Bella Dodds and Kaitlyn Metro. Karen was predeceased by her father Robert J Bella and her sister Robin Joy Metro.
There will be a private celebration of Karen’s life.
