Floyd D. Moon

SAUGERTIES….Floyd D. Moon, 93, of Rte. 9W and formerly of West Camp died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his residence.   Born February 19, 1925 in Cementon he was the son of the late Percy and Irene Moon.   A Veteran of the US Army-Air Corp he served during World War II.    He was employed for over 35 years at the Marquette Cement Co. in Cementon.   Active in the community he was a Life Member of the Malden West Camp Fire Co.,  Life Member of the VFW Post #5034,  the American Legion Post #72, the Catskill Elks Lodge #1341 for  55 years and the Catskill Lodge #468 F & AM.

Survivors include a Sister in Law, Nancy Moon of West Camp.  A Nephew: Richard (Dorothy) Moon of West Camp and a Niece, Sharon Moon of Ga.  A Cousin, Franklin Clum of Saugerties and a good friend, Jack Grapp of West Camp.

A Service of rememberance will be held 3:00 PM Monday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts.  Interment will military honors will be in the Mt. View Cemetery.   Friends will be received Monday from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.  Family suggests donations in his memory be made to the Ulster County SPCA.  Expressions of condolence may be shared with the family @SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com
