The Saugerties Police Department has announced two separate arrests stemming from unrelated incidents.
The first occurred on June 20, when authorities took a 17-year-old male from Saugerties into custody following an investigation into sexually explicit images involving a minor. He was charged with felony possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child. After being processed, the individual was released with an appearance ticket to face proceedings in County Court.
The second arrest (unrelated to the first) took place the day prior, on June 19. At approximately 8:15 a.m., police responded to a reported dispute involving Nathaniel Schultz, a 33-year-old resident of Saugerties. He was charged with two misdemeanors: second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Schultz was processed and subsequently taken to CAP court for arraignment.
