In photos posted to Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page, dozens of smiling faces ushered in the spectacular renovation and rebranding of the former Ole Savannah on Kingston’s Rondout Creek.
The Cornell Restaurant and Bar celebrated its grand opening in a private event with Chamber members and officials, staff, friends and colleagues. The building officially swings its doors open to the public on Tuesday, Apr. 15. An early peek into the restaurant sees the preservation of the building’s wide-open, expansive spaces, now adorned with modern and sophisticated decor, lighting, floors and furnishings, upgrading the ambience substantially.
The menu has been reimagined to feature upscale appetizers like Bang Bang Tacos, Korean Fried Chicken, Mini Lobster Rolls and Braised Short Rib Quesadillas. Asian flair has been added with Dim Sum and Sushi options. A selection of sandwiches are available for lunch. Salads, pastas and sides are on the menu for lunch and dinner, with heartier dinner entrees like Grilled Branzino, NY Strip Steak and Filet Mignon on offer in the evening. Appetizers run $14-$20 and dinner entrees are $19-$38. A full drink and dessert menu round out the ordering options.
