The Saugerties Police Department recently made three separate arrests over the span of three days, involving charges related to intoxicated driving, criminal contempt, and drug possession.
On Mar. 1, at approximately 8:35pm, officers arrested 33-year-old David A. Spruill of Saugerties, after responding to a motor vehicle accident. The investigation led to multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Unlicensed Operator, and Aggravated Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.
On Mar. 3, at around 9:04pm, officers took Geoffrey W. Suto, 47, of West Hurley, into custody for allegedly violating an order of protection. The investigation resulted in Suto being charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. After being processed at the Saugerties Police Department, he was released on an appearance ticket, with a scheduled court date at the Town of Saugerties Justice Court.
Later that evening, at approximately 10:40pm, police arrested 34-year-old Sean M. Peck, also of Saugerties, following an investigation into a disturbance. Authorities charged Peck with two counts of Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. He was processed at the Saugerties Police Department, arraigned at CAP Court, and subsequently remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
Each arrest stemmed from distinct investigations.
