Maglyn’s Dream may soon be over, but the locals won’t soon stop talking about it. The popular boutique opened in May 2002 at Water Street Market in New Paltz, and its owner Lynn Oldmixon recently announced its imminent closure “after 23 wonderful years.”
“Since opening our doors in May 2002,” she wrote, “Maglyn’s Dream has grown from a cozy 400-square-foot space to a thriving 900-square-foot destination, showcasing the work of talented local and American artists. For over two decades, we have had the privilege of offering a carefully curated collection of jewelry, pottery, glassware, clothing, and wall art—each piece chosen with the goal of inspiring and connecting with our community.”
The shop will officially close its doors for good on March 28th. Oldmixon added that she would host “a major sale, with 90% of our inventory available at discounted prices.”
