Opening this Saturday, the latest photography exhibit by Frank Wright offers a snapshot of life in New Paltz and beyond during the 1960s and 1970s. Wright, who arrived in New Paltz in 1959, quickly became immersed in the local arts scene, documenting the unique characters and moments of the town as well as his work for the Mid-Hudson Philharmonic and the college’s Information Office. Shot on 35mm Tri-X film and now digitized, these candid images capture the essence of a pivotal era in both Wright’s life and the places he called home, including New York City.
