Ulster County high school seniors planning on putting their college education and eventual career to use towards making our world a better one should apply for The Ulster County 2024 Padraig Julius Tobin Flusser Economic and Social Justice Scholarship.
The scholarship award will be $2000, first place; $1000, second place; and $500, third place. The scholarship is intended for Ulster County high school seniors enrolled in college in fall 2024, who are pursuing a career path dedicated to social justice, while actively engaged in peace and economic equity efforts.
The application deadline is Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at noon. The award announcement will be made on Wednesday, August 7.
This year’s judges are: March Gallagher, Ulster County Comptroller, Rosendale; Crystal Middleton, director, Elting Memorial Library, New Paltz; Cheryl Benjamin, detective sergeant, Town of Ulster Police Department; Meghann Crawford, director data management, Siena College, Saugerties; Kristin Masson-Diedhiou, teacher, Kingston School District; alternate, June Wheeler, Monticello School District.
