Singer-songwriter Ginger Winn may have just released her debut album in June, but she has been performing and writing her own songs since she was nine years old. Born in South Carolina and previously based in South Africa, her love of music led to her working as a freelance music producer. After receiving a message from co-founders of Keep Good Company Records Matthew and Tina Baione asking her to turn her poetry into a song, her first single “Super 8” was born. Winn was signed to their record label, and after spending 18 days with producer David Baron (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan) at his recording studio Sun Mountain Studio in Boiceville, she left with a completed debut album, Stop-Motion. Woodstock is at the center of all of Winn’s music: she had a release party concert at Woodstock Way and single release at the treehouse bar Early Terrible; her first single Super 8 debuted on Radio Woodstock in March 2024; and all of her music videos released so far were filmed in Woodstock, including the song “Pitta Patta” which Winn describes as “an ode to going upstate.”
