As they are wont to do, Hudson Valley’s innovative Ars Choralis vocal group will reach back in history this weekend with a live performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Barbara Pickhardt, expect an exhilarating journey through Orff’s 1930s masterpiece, featuring themes as timeless as fortune, love, and revelry. Joining Ars Choralis are distinguished vocalists baritone Steven Kirby, soprano Lily Arbisser, tenor Chuck Sokolowski, a children’s choir from the Bennett School led by Harvey Boyer, pianists Kristen Pickhardt Tuttman and Andrea Shaut, and Garry Kvistad with members of NEXUS Percussion.
