Step into a world of movement and music at the Woodstock Diamond Sokolow Dance Theatre this Sunday, as Linda Diamond and Company present an eclectic showcase of modern dance. The afternoon promises a diverse and riveting line-up, including works featuring Afrocubism, Sephardic Spanish music, and the Diary of Anne Frank. The festivities will include the premiere of “Hymn to the Earth,” an evocative piece inspired by Native American creation stories composed by Woodstock local Tom Desisto. Guests can enjoy a pre-performance reception complete with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Nirvana Restaurant, to honor the special appearance of classical East Indian dancer, Jeeno Joseph, who will also be performing.
