Scott Joseph Costello, 62, of Laflin, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 17, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Schenectady, New York, Scott was the son of the late Joseph Costello and the late Ann (Stillwell) Costello Passan. He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Scranton. Scott worked as a truck driver and yard jockey for many years at Valley Distributing and Storage Company.
Scott lived for a time in Woodstock, NY, where his mother was born and raised. He loved Woodstock, going fishing in his boat, his dogs, and cats, and driving a big pick-up truck. Scott was a quiet personality who considered his mother to be his best friend.

Surviving are his sister, Elizabeth and husband, Gregg Wallick, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; nieces Misty Lombardi and husband, Donald Smiley; Mollie Wallick; nephew, Dane Lombardi; great-niece Saylor Smiley; aunt Laura Russell Dahlin and husband, Ron; cousins Michael Gentile and Christopher Gentile; and niece, Carol Keup.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23rd at noon at the Woodstock Reformed Church, 16 Tinker Street, Woodstock, New York. A burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Woodstock.
