Riders of Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT) won’t be paying a fare starting October 1. At the August 19 Ulster County Legislature session, legislators voted 16-7 to make riding the UCAT buses in Ulster County free. The resolution passed with no Republican support. The changes will go into effect on October 1, 2022.
