Coronavirus test logjam frustrates New Paltz school district

New Paltz Superintendent Angela Urbina-Medina informed the school board last week that there’s a backlog of test results, but in this case it’s at the county health department rather than on teacher’s desks. That’s caused some frustration, as coronavirus test results are necessary for students who will be among those learning in person. Urging patience on that score, Urbina-Medina also reminded parents that should any child experience symptoms or test positive that the building principal should be advised, even if the child is only learning remotely this semester.
