Woodstock Halloween Parade

Halloween in Woodstock is a wild scene, with town-wide trick-or-treating, a parade, and an opening set by the Rock Academy Showband. The parade doubles as a costume contest (with prizes) open to all ages, from infants to the elderly. Expect large crowds, spooky revelry, and a chance of flying shaving cream.Â
Historic Huguenot Street Trick-or-Treat

Historic Huguenot Street will host a trick-or-treat event on Friday, Oct. 31, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. From the Ground Up food truck and Marks Hot Dogs will be on-site for the event. The event is free and open to all, with RSVP encouraged. For more information or to RSVP, visit huguenotstreet.org.
New Paltz Halloween Parade

The New Paltz Halloween parade will step off from the parking lot of New Paltz Middle School. After traversing through Main Street, North Front Street at The Elting Memorial Library, state Route 32, and past the Jean Hasbrouck House, the revelry will conclude at 7:30 p.m.
Milton Halloween Parade

The hamlet’s community parade steps off from the library and proceeds down Main Street to the Milton Engine Co. firehouse for treats and festivities.

Crossing Over: A Halloween Party

Kingston Techno and nightlife impresario Max Johl have joined forces to present the kind of late-night Halloween rager that used to haunt the back of BSP – full of immersive installations, dancefloor bangers and a costume contest. Expect a wild night and a respectful environment. Assembly’s also doing a Rock Horry Picture Show party on the eve of Halloween.
Halloween Cover Band Nights 1 & 2

This two-night battle of the bands features 13 local bands duking it out for all the door money. Ever wanted to see Lara Hope and Tiger Piss cover Guns N Roses? Or how about Devo fronted by Mark Shue from Guided By Voices? Other local acts will cover Ween, Cursive, Dead Boys, Breeders, Sparks, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Ventures, Roy Orbison, Lucinda Williams, Bee Gees and DNA. Short 15-minute sets will keep the night moving.
Voodelic Halloween Blacklight Show

Local funk/rock outfit Voodelic have a tradition of donning spooky homemade costumes illuminated by a sea of black light. It’s a free show and a spectacle worth catching, as frontman Earl Lundy paces about the stage barefoot with the air of a preacher from the pits of hell.
Hallowsteen V

At this annual tradition led by hometown jam/rock band What? will perform high-energy live sets to a costumed crowd. Expect late-night shenanigans. The band has touted a super secret surprise second set.
