Update: Saugerties man arrested and released three times in two weeks

A Saugerties man was arrested and released three times within a two-week span in October on separate misdemeanor charges, according to the Saugerties police department.

John A. Yonnetti, 54, was first taken into custody on October 7, following an incident on Partition Street in the Village of Saugerties. Police charged him with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both misdemeanors under New York State law. Authorities said the arrest followed a report involving threatening behavior, which led to Yonnetti being processed at police headquarters. He was later released on an appearance ticket and directed to appear in village court.

Less than two weeks later, on October 19, Yonnetti was again arrested by Saugerties police, this time in connection with a graffiti complaint on Livingston Street. Following an investigation, officers charged him with making graffiti, also a misdemeanor offense. Police processed and released him on another appearance ticket, with a court date scheduled in the same local jurisdiction.

Then on October 21 at approximately 8:20 pm the Saugerties arrested Yonnetti yet again after receiving a complaint. He was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child. He was once again processed and released with a court appearance ticket.
