A 22-year-old man from Woodstock has been arrested following an investigation into the unlawful discharge of a firearm, according to a joint statement from the Town of Woodstock Police Department and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred on Sep. 29, 2025, when police received a report that a firearm had been fired from an apartment toward a roadway, a nearby residence, and a restaurant. The Woodstock Police requested assistance from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office detective unit, and the investigation concluded that a shotgun had been discharged from inside the apartment. Authorities obtained a search warrant for the property located on Mill Hill Road.

On Oct. 3, law enforcement officers from multiple agencies, including the Ulster County Emergency Response Team and the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team, executed the warrant. The search led to the seizure of several firearms and related items, including an unregistered handgun, a shotgun, an unregistered AR-15 rifle, a .22 caliber rifle, high-capacity magazines, and various types of ammunition.

Michael A. Odorisio was taken into custody and is facing multiple charges. These include three felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count each of fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment, along with two violations related to firearm use under environmental conservation laws.
