On Wednesday, August 20, authorities in Kingston arrested 24-year-old Omar Gutierrez Sanchez, a homeless individual originally from Virginia. He is facing multiple charges in connection with the alleged abduction of a 14-year-old child from Baltimore, Maryland.
Gutierrez Sanchez has been charged with second-degree kidnapping, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, he allegedly transported the minor from Baltimore to Kingston against the child’s will.
