Town of Lloyd police reported the arrest of Franklin Guzman, 37, of Highland, for allegedly “spraying a chemical agent into the eyes of another individual”. The specific chemical agent was undisclosed. Guzman is scheduled to be back in court August 7, 2025 to answer to the felony charge of attempted assault in the 2nd degree.
Police also reported the unrelated July 31 arrest of Highland resident Stephanie L. Rios, 37, on charges of burglary in the 3rd degree and petit larceny. Rios allegedly stole $42 worth of property after breaking into a storage room at the Highland Motel.
Additionally, Amy L. Carey, 21, of Fishkill was arrested on July 29 after allegedly damaging another person’s car amidst a domestic dispute. She was charged with criminal mischief in the 3rd degree.
