Danielle Scofield, 34, of Kingston, entered a guilty plea on July 24 in Ulster County Court, admitting to possessing child sexual abuse materials. Visiting Judge James R. Farrell accepted Scofield’s plea, with sentencing scheduled for October 10.
According to authorities, Scofield possessed 26 images and videos depicting explicit abuse of children. Investigators also determined that Scofield shared several of these images with her husband, former Kingston chiropractor Dr. John Boyle, and other unidentified individuals using messaging applications including “secure” messaging apps Session and Telegram. Scofield was subsequently remanded to Ulster County Jail while awaiting sentencing.
Dr. John Boyle, who previously operated Boyle Family Chiropractic in Kingston, earlier pleaded guilty in June 2025 to multiple felony charges, including promoting and possessing obscene sexual performances by children. Boyle’s charges involved graphic content, including bestiality and necrophilia involving children. His sentencing is set for September 19, where he faces a prison term ranging from six years and eight months to twenty years.
The investigation, led by the New York State Police, was prompted by tips from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Prosecutors handling the cases include Ulster County Special Victims Bureau Chief Jenna Hastings.
