The band 3 might have the worst name from a search engine optimization perspective, but they more than make up for it with a decades-long stretch of musical creativity that stretches back to the days when Joyous Lake and The Chance were the places to be. Their progressive, genre-bending blend of guitar wizardry and funk-rock rhythmic precision made them local legends, but they’ve been gone for over seven years. Now they’re reforming as a supergroup consisting of founder Joey Eppard, original members Billy Riker and Chris Gartmann, with local bassman-for-hire Chris Heitzman. Simply put: 3 has always been one of the best local rock bands to strap on an axe. Don’t miss this late-night comeback.
