The Saugerties Police Department reported four arrests over the past week in cases involving charges ranging from assault to possession of a forged document.
On the evening of April 30, at approximately 9:15pm, the Saugerties Police Department took 27-year-old Stephanie R. Bonnet of Saugerties into custody in response to a reported dispute. Following an investigation, authorities charged Bonnet with two misdemeanor offenses: third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She was processed at the local police department and later taken to court for arraignment.
At around 5:00am on April 30, the police arrested 82-year-old Barbara A. Charles of Saugerties after receiving a complaint related to counterfeit currency. Following their investigation, officers charged Charles with one misdemeanor count of third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She was processed at the police station and released with an appearance ticket, directing her to attend a future session of the Town of Saugerties Justice Court.
On April 29, at about 10:50am, Michael A. Melber, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested after a complaint was lodged alleging that he damaged someone else’s property. Melber received a felony count of criminal mischief in the 3rd degree and one misdemeanor count of conspiracy in the 5th degree.
On the same date and time, the Saugerties Police Department also arrested Dominick K. Buck, 39, of Saugerties, on the same charges. Both were booked at the Saugerties Police Department and released on an appearance ticket to answer in Town of Saugerties Justice Court at a later date.
