A 58-year-old man was found dead in Plattekill Creek on Sunday afternoon, according to New York State Police. Authorities identified the individual as Stanley Christopher Waldron of Saugerties.
Emergency responders, including Mount Marion firefighters, recovered Waldron’s body after receiving a call shortly after noon regarding a person seen in the water near Park Circle. Residents in the area reportedly noticed the body and alerted authorities.
State police confirmed that there were no indications of foul play at the scene. The official cause of death remains under investigation.
