Beloved local bakery Kingston Bread and Bar (KB+B) announced Monday they had secured a new location: The former PAKT restaurant space at 608 Broadway in midtown Kingston.
Just a few months after declaring they were leaving their North Front Street location in uptown Kingston, KB+B owners said today they had signed a lease last week for the new digs. Though no opening date was announced, the KB+B team thanked its supporters for their patience as they work toward a grand reopening.
“We’ve always loved this building,” wrote the owners in a social media post, “and have long been dreaming about how we can honor and bring life back to this special space — former home of the beloved PAKT and the best Bloody Mary brunch in town. We’ve got big shoes to fill, and we have a few months of construction ahead of us, but we plan to reopen this summer with a new and improved version of everything you loved about KB+B Uptown: sandwiches, soups + salads, beverages of all kinds, and of course, bread, pastries, and bagels, in a friendly and feel-good new space with plenty of seating that helps us do what we do best, even better.”
KB+B continues to operate out of their bakery on Barbarossa Lane during the interim.
