Saugerties fine dining establishment The Kitchen at Salt and Fire announced the end of its three-year run yesterday.
“I can’t express enough how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to live out a lifelong dream and build so many relationships along the way,” read a Facebook post sharing the news. “Being a part of this business community is something that I will cherish forever.”
The announcement cited the end of the lease at their 124 Partition St. location, prompting the owners to “move on to the next adventure.”
Well-wishers poured into the comment section to praise the restaurant for its food and friendly staff. Salt and Fire was known for its expertly crafted martinis, its fancy Sunday brunch, and gourmet plates like the Maple-Chipotle Reserve Chop, Pan Seared Duck Breast al’Orange and Peruvian Wood-Fired Chicken.
