It’s that time of year again for a mad dash down Broadway, when the greens and oranges of Irish cultural pride streak by as revelers cheer from the sidewalks, some cherrily flouting open container laws. This year’s run honors the memory of Eric Hansen, a community fixture known for his love of animals, helping others, and running in the Shamrock. This accessible-to-all, untimed “fun run” draws thousands participants annually. Proceeds benefit the Ulster County SPCA.
