Longtime local musician and activist Rebecca Martin is striking a new chord with SHE, her first album of original songs in over a decade. Known for her start with the jazz-folk duo Once Blue and collaborations with jazz legends like Paul Motian and Larry Grenadier, Martin’s latest work showcases her captivating vocals in a stripped-down, unaccompanied setting. The New York Times called her voice “an instrument of modesty and forbearance.” When not making music, Martin leads local community activism group KingstonCitizens.org.
