HealthAlliance Hospital has celebrated the arrival of the first baby of the new year. Born at 2:20am on Jan. 1, Goldie Rose Trapanese weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches.
“Goldie’s parents, who live in Brooklyn, were visiting Grandma in Woodstock,” wrote Andrew LaGuardia, Senior Director of Network Strategic Communications. “She was due to be born in the middle of January, but Goldie Rose had other plans.”
Hospital representatives extended their well wishes to Goldie Rose, her mother Rachel, and the Trapanese family, noting that both mother and child are in good health and enjoying their time together.
Goldie Rose’s birth is part of a broader celebration, as more than 10 babies were delivered on New Year’s Day at various facilities within the Westchester Medical Center Health Network. These birthing centers include locations at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, and St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, in addition to HealthAlliance Hospital.
