A 911 call to the Ulster Police Department on Dec. 28 led police to the East Chester St. bypass in the Town of Ulster, where a patrol spotted an unidentified male, 66, lying injured in the road. He was treated on location by first responders before being brought by ambulance to Health Alliance Hospital, where police say he ultimately passed away from his injuries.
Police are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of the East Chester St. bypass near the Bank of Greene County early on Dec. 28 to contact detectives at (845) 382-1111. Their investigation is ongoing.
The deceased was described by police as a white male in a tan Carhartt coat, dark colored sneakers, blue jeans and a blue backpack, with a height of approximately 5’11”.
