On Saturday, Dec. 28, New York State Police responded to the scene of a vehicle collision on the Thruway three miles north of exit 19 to find a driver deceased from injuries sustained in the crash. The police blotter identified the victim as Randolph Eleazar Quintanilla Revolorio, 21, of Nanuet. He was said to be the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle.
The accident occurred in the southbound lane of I-87 at approximately 6:15am, according to police. The response and investigation caused significant traffic backups on the Thruway.
Police are continuing their assessment of the incident, and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact State Police investigators at 845-691-2922.
