After two successful years as an annual town-wide event, Saugerties’ Snow Moon Festival organizers announced on Dec. 14 they were “saddened to say” third annual festival would be canceled “due to family circumstances for some of [the] organizers.”
In a Facebook post, organizers wrote they were “planning to still have a couple of events later in the spring to raise some money for the town’s food pantries.”
Last year’s Snow Moon Festival raised over $6,000 for the town’s food pantries and featured a parade, 5K run, scavenger hunt, comedy show, craft fair, and the unique “Pajama Onesie Dine Around Party” which invited people to dine in Saugerties restaurants while wearing their pajamas.
