There’s something magical about sitting around a piano singing along to tunes everyone knows. It’s how music was enjoyed before recording technology allowed songs to be detached from their live performances. All we had was sheet music, a piano, and each other. This Thursday you can recreate that magic with a holiday theme at The Spy. This community tradition features Elliot Matz on the keys playing holiday classics dating back over a century, alongside co-host Jay Blotcher. It’s free to attend, though reservations are recommended to secure a seat in the main dining room. All tips for the pianist will benefit the Rondout Valley Food Pantry.
