On November 29, 2024, at approximately 1:58 p.m., Ulster County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Kingston Motel in the Town of Ulster following a report that a female was allegedly being held against her will in a motel room. Upon arrival, Deputies interviewed the woman and determined that she was not being held against her will. During their investigation, they discovered 53-year-old Brian W. Williams of Kingston hiding beneath a bed in the room.
Williams was found to be in violation of an active order of protection that barred him from being at the woman’s motel room, and from having any contact with the woman or her 10-year-old child, who was present during the incident.
Deputies arrested Williams and charged him with two counts of Criminal Contempt in the 1st Degree, Aggravated Family Offense, and Aggravated Criminal Contempt — all felonies.
He was processed, arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail, and was scheduled to appear in court.
