Wreaths Across America and New Paltz Rural Cemetery
Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit whose yearlong mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach our children the value of freedom.
The National Wreaths Across America Day is Saturday, December 14. It will be celebrated locally at 12 p.m. at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery, located at 81 Plains Road in New Paltz.
This is a free event open to all, and the organization encourages community members to participate by volunteering locally or sponsoring a wreath for an American hero.
What does it mean to sponsor a veteran wreath? It means you have the opportunity to join a grateful nation in saying “thank you” to our veterans. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is handcrafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow in Columbia Falls, Maine.
For additional information about sponsoring a veteran wreath and/or to volunteer at the New Paltz Rural Cemetery, visit www.wreathsacrossameric.org/NY0270.
