Ulster County executive Jen Metzger has proposed renaming the Ulster County Office Building at 244 Fair Street in Kingston the “Nina Postupack Office Building” in honor of the former county clerk, who passed away on October 10. Postupack served as county clerk from 2005 until 2024, when she retired in August, after 45 years of dedicated and distinguished public service.
The county legislature is expected to vote on moving the resolution forward to a public hearing at its November session.
“Nina was a shining example of the very best qualities of a public servant, with an unfailing commitment to the highest standard of service and to treating every individual that walked through the doors of this building with compassion, kindness, fairness, and respect,” said Metzger.
