Halloween came five days early to Kingston children with the 6th annual My Kingston Kids Halloween festival and parade. This year’s theme was “Welcome to Space.” The parade up Broadway stepped off on Saturday, October 26 at 2 p.m., with young aliens and goblins on floats leading people to the Kingston Plaza where they were met with a field of carnival games, delicious food, trick or treating at many booths, a stage filled with music and much more.

There were stage performers, a costume show with prizes, tug-of-war, an extraordinary bubble display, many sponsored tables by local organizations and businesses displaying their information and giving away candy and/or prizes. The huge party was enjoyed by the kids and parents.

Siblings Xyla, age 4, Vivian, age 2 of Kingston, came dressed as a Target manager and Spot the dog, its mascot.
Marcene Johnson, president of the Center 4 Creative Education board, is incognito at her booth.
Eva Lorenz, age 7 of Kingston and Mr. Skeleton.
Henry Wood, age 11 of Woodstock, and Lila, age 9 of West Hurley, playing tug-of-war.
Lea Boyer was the lady who created beautiful bubbles.

Fabian Rodriguez, age 3 of Saugerties.
