The Kingston community came together on October 10, to celebrate a memorable evening at the historic Dietz Stadium, a cherished pillar of the Kingston City School District (KCSD)’s rich athletic tradition. The event drew a diverse crowd of local residents, distinguished guests and enthusiastic supporters, all eager to honor the stadium’s legacy and the spirit of KCSD athletes.
Remarks were made by Mayor Steven Noble, KCSD Superintendent Dr. Paul J. Padalino and Kingston High School (KHS) student athletes. An exchange of a golden football between city officials and the district symbolized the return of its student athletes to Dietz Stadium following a comprehensive $21.5 million upgrade and captured a moment that reflected teamwork and dedication.
“Today, we celebrate the past and look forward to an exciting future for our athletes,” said Padalino.
Following the ceremony, the Kingston Tiger football team rallied in an exciting game against the Valley Central Vikings. Halftime showcased the talents of the award-winning KHS Tiger marching band and recognized teachers from around the district in the annual teacher appreciation game.
